The Grapevine on Third Street

The artist Tanya Beckler stands in front of her newly open shop, The Grapevine. The Grapevine is an eclectic art gallery and boutique that opened during the Rosemary Clooney Festival in the Cox Building on Third Street. Featuring original art by Beckler, you'll also find other unique gift items, or as one commenter put it: "vintage junk and retro kitsch." Be sure to stop in this week and tell them we sent you.

I've been meaning to get down to Chan's and try out the menu. From his set-ups during street festivals, I can vouche for how good his grilled stuff is.

just for the record Chan's is not a steakhouse, just a small restaurant.

Last I heard no one had to move just yet and the city was enjoying the benefits from the rent. I would imagine businesses would have to move or make accomodations for remodeling construction, but there's been no word on when that will be started.

A neat little store. The artist is a nice girl. Question: Since the Cox Building has been bought by the city, how long will it be before businesses and residents are required to vacate?

Coming Soon to the Grapevine...out of town musicians, book signings, and our Christmas hootenanny. Vintage clothes, interesting clutter, weird gifts, pop art, jazzy paintings, books, records, and beautiful, handmade scarves. Also be sure to frequent Chan's new steakhouse on Market Street!
