It's not private as in a gated community, but it is in a residential neighborhood. So I wouldn't go up there expecting to throw a party. But if you're just looking for a view and respect the local residents I don't think there's a law against it.

Despite being a small town, I've found that Maysville is actually quite interesting once you get to know it, and I'm pretty confident that there's plenty of material to keep this going for some time. Some locals don't even know about this view, so here's how to get there:

Go up this street (Wadsworth) until it dead ends...

Then head up these stairs...
