Autumn Is Upon Us!

Main Street in Old Washington Kentucky - Jeremy Parnell

Autumn has arrived in all its splendor. Maysville Kentucky and the entire Ohio River Valley is an excellent place to begin your excursions to watch the leaves change because of its situation between two hill ranges that cradle the river. Here's a few trips I suggest:

  • US 52 or Kentucky 8 between Maysville and Cincinnati - great because you can see an enormous blanket of oranges and reds to the left and right created by the hills that hold the river.
  • Ohio 41 from Maysville to West Union or Ohio 763 outside of Aberdeen to Russellville Ohio - great because you are actually driving through trees that form a canopy above you (if travelling from Ripley, we recommend Scoffield Road as well).
  • US 68 between Maysville and Lexington - in addition to a wonderful drive of autumn leaves, you are also treated to the large horse estates that Kentucky in known for.
