Earlywine Racing: Indoor Motocross

The planners of a Scott County motocross racing facility have received criticism from local residents saying that the facility would add to noise pollution and ruin the area's "scenic beauty and peacefulness". To show why this shouldn't be a problem, the company behind the race track is pointing to Maysville Kentucky based Earlywine Racing as a success story. Measuring at 160ft wide, 300ft long, and 65ft tall, Earlywine Racing is reportedly the nation's largest permanent indoor motocross facility.

Marla Baxter, of the Maysville-Mason County Tourism Commission, says Maysville has only benefitted from the Earlywine Racing facilities, which have been opened for about a year. "They are out and about in the community shopping and eating," she said. "We are hearing comments that they frequent our businesses."

"We thought there was going to be a lot of noise trouble, but there hasn't been," Mason County Judge-Executive Buddy Gallenstein said. "There's more noise from the car and truck traffic on the AA Highway than from his place."
